The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked fishermen to give up their boat parking space at Lotus Jetty in Worli for the Coastal Road project, but no alternative land has been offered. The fishworkers have defied the BMC's request, stating that the project has already reclaimed much of their operational area. The BMC has threatened to remove the boats if the fishermen do not comply. The fishermen have not received compensation for the losses incurred due to the project.
