NGO Watchdog Foundation and Andheri East residents protested at the BMC's K East ward office over the current water crisis, demanding technical audits of water supply pipelines to prevent future leaks. Citizens from other western suburbs also complain of a water cut higher than 15% and low pressure supply, with the added problem of expensive water tanker prices. The Pani Haq Samiti's Sitaram Shelar said the problem stemmed from a mistake by a builder, with the BMC failing to act on the issue.
